I have been thinking of trying to find old Britains heads that I can transplant onto newly casted figures. I have a few of my own, but would like more. I did find a company that sells replacement pieces for old Britains, including a large selection of heads. I plan to buy a selection of them along with some other pieces that might come in handy. |

Little Wars Cover
In my last post, I mentioned the cover of the first copy of "Little Wars" I bought. On it there are classic Britains figures matching the molds I just acquired.

There are two UK firms that do castings of parts for 54mm toy soldiers that allow you to make up your own. They cover bodies, heads (many) arms in various positions, and cavalry, as well as assorted artillery and wagons. They are Dorset Miniatures and Langley miniatures. Both sites worth checking, though illustrations are few. You can see photos of some on my blog 'Steel Steam and Torpedoes' if your interested.
ReplyDeleteI will have to check out their webpages. I will have to see if they have parts for Britains 44mm figures. I visit your blog regularly. I will have to look for those photos.
