I was examining some of the semi flat cavalry, trying to decide on how to paint them. Most of them have little paint left; still there was something about them that has me second guessing about painting them, along with the newest infantry. For now, I will continue to paint those that have already been based for painting.
My goal for now is to play some games using them as is.
Using them battle scarred and play worn for figures of that age seems fine to me.
ReplyDeleteWith my most recent purchases, it has given me options to try different approaches to using them. Perhaps two different armies for the same side; one unpainted and the other with a new, shiny coat of fresh paint.
DeletePlay some games and see how you feel!
ReplyDeleteThat is sound advise. I played my first game yesterday in a couple of months, using these battered veterans. I took some pictures of the game and hope to post them later.
ReplyDeleteThey do have an appeal of their own. I get the feeling that they can become addictive!
ReplyDeleteI always think they have a "stateliness" about them. For me they definitely addictive; they appeal to me more than Britain's!
