15mm Peter Laing Knights

Peter Laing seems to get a bad rap for detail. However, as can be seen by these photos with a good paint job they can be quite handsome little figures.

Needless to say, I didn't paint these figures.

  1. I think they're gorgeous. To my eye they have a aesthetic appeal that the more detailed figures don't...that and style.

    1. I completely agree - I have always thought that Peter's figures could be made really special with the right paint job - have a look at the WW1 French Officer and Infantryman painted by my friend Richard Black in the link below:

  2. I always felt that Peter Laings resemble old Britains figures. Put on a coat of enamel paint and they become little works of art. Sometimes I find the extreme detailing on newer 15mm too much. The only plus side to me of having too much detail is it makes it easier to dry brush on paint.
