| It's been a while since I have got this much painting done. Eight- 4 man units. I've been enjoying painting these figures. Instead of the usual Union blue and Confederate grey uniforms, these units are being painted using early war uniforms, which makes each unit easier to identify. On their bases they are marked A,B,C, and D. This is so if I use them in skirmish games, I can keep track of wounds on the figures. |
Nicely done. Your paint job looks very much in the style of “toy soldiers” 👏👏

Thank you for the compliment. I started using Vallejo Model colors to paint the figures. Vallejo also makes a gloss varish that I'm really happy with. Thats just one coat of varnish.
DeleteGood looking units. The gloss finish brings out the colours.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I did try to using Tamiya gloss on the figures at first, but it was washing the paint off the figures. That's when I got the Vallejo gloss.
DeleteA good addition. May the games be as good!
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking of how to use them in games. As I only have infantry, I am planning o. Skirmish games.
DeleteNice paintjobs. They looks good!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm really happy with the Vallejo paints.
