| Recently I started painting some 15mm ACW figures for skirmish games. After painting some regular infantry as a militia unit,I decided to painted up a unit of Falcon Miniatures militia. I was so happy with the results, I painted up 2 more units. |

| I have a total of 20 of these figures. I figure each 4 man unit will represent a company. Their commander is a 1st generation Minifigs officer. |

| I still believe I might have a few more of these figures and continue to look though all my different containers of figures. |
Very nice. The officer figure looks to be rather “short of stature” though. I’d be tempted to try find a slightly larger (perhaps “more inspiring”?) commander figure.

Right now he's about the the best I have. I continue to look for more Falcon ACW figures. For now "Little Mac" will stay in command.
DeleteAre you sure they are Falcon? They look much more like Musket Miniatures to me, apart from the officer. -geir
ReplyDeleteThey actually came in the orginial Falcon package. I will now have to check out Musket Miniatures. I do think years ago I did buy some Musket Miniatures Napoleonics.

ReplyDeleteBesides the Civil War figures, I also got some Franco Prussian War French and Prussian figures. I think I like the chunkyness of the figures; it makes painting them easier with failing eyesight and shaking hands. I have been going through some old Zouave magazines hoping to find some ads or discription of the line, with no success.
