| The last couple of months haven't been productive in regards to my hobbies. My most recent plan were for using my new 2mm armies with Battle Cry scenarios. However, by the time came to set up a game, my enthusiasm for it just isn't there. This morning I decided to set up the First Bull Run scenario, with the hope that tonight I can at least get the game going. Time will tell. |
Your hex board looks a perfect size for 2mm block John - have you fought the battle yet?
ReplyDeleteI did fight the battle last night. Unfortunately it didn't excite me and was quite disappointed with it. I am thinkiing of trying to find different rules to use. I find the ranges a little extreme and the odds of hitting on the high side. I also didn't use the cards for the game.
DeleteCould always try my Dominion of the Blue and Grey rules which I released yesterday. They include the normal 24 battles including First Bull Run. Not sure they are what you are looking for but they might amuse you long enough to get your money's worth!

I have been trying to cut back on hobby purchases until I get some more motivation back. However, it might be worth a look after playing several games with your rules
ReplyDeleteSadly, some of us (i.e. specifically me) generally do the opposite - buying more stuff in the hope of kick-starting my enthusiasm. I am a big fan of 2mm though. Your ACW setup looks nice. Regarding your comments re firing ranges & hit possibilities, why don’t you just amend them to reflect what you believe to be more appropriate?

I usually do the same thing, buying more figures that interests me for inspiration. This time I'm trying not to fall in the same pattern. I am going to try some different rules and changing the rules I don't think works for me.
