After seeing several videos of animated toy soldiers on Facebook, I wanted to give it a go.

This last one was really fun; Vikings vs Bunnies. The animations mpeg videos: I converted them to gif, as I've used gif files before and if I want I can get individual pictures from them. I just hope this won't distract me too much from my gaming, as I was just getting back on track with my 2mm games. |
Good fun!
ReplyDeleteIt's fun seeing the toy soldiers animated. Another distraction from gaming.
DeleteFunny!
ReplyDeleteI've tried to use Grok, but that didn't work for me.
I used nauknauk for this. I've had 50% success rate. I'm still figuring it out. Still, just for fun it's not bad.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I especially love the bunnies vs Vikings. Who won?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure exactly. I the battle there was a shape-shifter. I don't know if a bunny shape shifted to a Viking, or viceversive
DeleteYour animations look good to me. Presumably there’s some technical way to get rid of the bases of figures - some of the figures in the third animation don’t have bases, so the technical “magic” seems to have worked in part. Anyhow, a decent effort 👏👏
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Geoff
Actually in the third animation only the figures at the beginning were actually there. The AI added all the other figures. I was surprised by the waves of other soldiers. I'm just playing around with it, soo I'm not concerned with how detailed it is. In fact, I described the subject as toy soldiers, knowing the bases would show up
DeleteThat just looks amazing! I'd love to do a whole battle like that!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Ion
I have seen other people who know what they are doing move individual units on a crowded battlefield. I would love to see what these people could do making a small film.
DeleteThis is something that I need to try doing myself.
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Bob

DeleteI would like to see what you could do with animated AI. I enjoy your Belle Epoque portraits; it would be fun to see your armies "in action".
DeleteExcellent short video, good fun. Bunnies vs Vikings was my favourite!
ReplyDeleteThat was my personal favorite, too. When I converted it to a gif, I slowed the action down so it would be easier to watch. I have a couple of ideas to try out, but I really don't want to be distracted from a game I want to work on.
