Peter Laing WW2 Russian Conversions

In the last post, I mentioned I had received some Peter Laing WW2 American infantry who were converted to Russians. Several people mentioned they would like to see the figures, so here you go.

The great coat roll is over the wrong shoulder, but still they are great conversions.

The Russians with a Micro Machine tank.

  1. They certainly look like Russians, and en masse they would be ideal for what I want.

I think that I have some unpainted examples of the WW1 Russian figures somewhere, and it would not be impossible to just change the headgear to turn them into WW2 figures.

Something for me to think about.

    All the best,

    Bob

    1. The WW1 Russians would make good conversions, too. Especially if you went with a garrison cap instead if a helmet. I think that would make a great early war Russian.

  2. They look really great. Thanks for taking the time to share them. The Micro Machines tank really goes well with them.

  3. Peter Bello at boardgamegeek uses Micromachines and 1/72 plastic figures for Memoir 44 variants he plays. I've done a couple of games like that, but I like the look if 15mm better; they don't look some much like giants towering over the tanks.

  4. I made a mistake; I meant to say Pete Belli at boardgamegeek. Sorry.
